Another juicy bit of news, courtesy of my on-the-beat Twitter fashionistas I follow, is quickly making its rounds. Last week, it was announced and confirmed that Taylor Tomasi Hill, former Style & Accessories Director of American Marie Claire, stepped down from her post to join online retailer Moda Operandi as their Artistic Director.

Replacing the fiery ginger is ELLE magazine’s former Senior Accessories Editor, Kyle Anderson (or as we know him best as @kyleeditor), which was announced earlier today and spread like wildfire.

We’re in a time when everyone on the masthead of a magazine has, or is being forced to acquire, a Twitter account, Tumblr blog, etc. as a way of being extensions of the brand and humanizing the relationship between readers/fans and the publications themselves. Kyle, who probably has the most active Twitter account in fashion and who’s sea of followers is growing by the minute, is a prime example. Marie Claire now has the privilege to take advantage of Kyle’s new found cyber-fame; use it wisely.

So, that would now leave a spot open for the taking over at ELLE. I’m sure we’ll hear within the next few days which eager assistant/junior editor, etc. will fill his shoes. Visit my Twitter page, and stay tuned.

Congratualations, Kyle! All the best, and #werk it out. –@lebigt

  1. I know this is sort of besides the point but I love love love the Givenchy Rottweiler stuff, I want it all!!!

    • Haha, #covet. As obsessed as I was about the rottweiler prints + the entire collection, I’m sort of over it. On to the next one: SS12, aka birds of paradise meet Transformers!
